Frederick Norman Van Der Linden (1905-1980) was first employed by Woodward & Lothrop as an assistant window trimmer on 26 Oct. 1926. During his tenure, he managed displays at the Pentagon, Alexandria, and Seven Corners branches. He designed and executed both interior and window displays for the store's 75th anniversary celebration.
